Leadership Worthington Graduates Class of 2003

Susan Michelle Allen is employed by Worthington Public Libraries and is in charge of the Worthington Memory Project. Prior employment included time at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University Libraries. Susan is a graduate of University of Pittsburgh where she earned a Master of Library and Information Science. Her undergraduate work was in Women's Studies at OSU. Currently, she is archivist for the Worthington Historic District Committee. Susan is being sponsored by the Worthington Public Libraries.

Lora Michell-Beckenbach is an HR professional looking for the right employment match for her skills. She volunteers regularly for the American Red Cross and was referred by Joan Bird. Lora's undergraduate and graduate degrees are form Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Her MA is in Industrial and Labor Relations. She also attended Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland. Most recently, Lora's been an HR consultant with Ashland, Inc.

Cham Wynfield Bell is Network Project Manager for SBC Ameritech and is being sponsored by Worthington Public Libraries where he is a member of the Board of Trustees. Cham is a graduate of Worthington Kilbourne High School and Denison University. His major at Denison was Media Technology and Art. He served as Denison Campus Governance Association President from 1999-2000. Cham started his own business while in school. It was called Chopper Cham Lawn Care.

Keenan Blanke was born and raised in Worthington. Keenan has recently been called to be Director of Youth Ministries at the Worthington Presbyterian Church. For the past six years, Keenan has been performing throughout the Midwest as the lead singer of the band, The Reaganomics. His formal education includes Worthington High School and receiving a BA in History from The Ohio State University. Keenan is an avid sports fan especially loyal to the Cleveland Indians, the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State sports' teams. In his spare time, he reads science fiction and spends time with his wife Jennifer, daughter Alexandra (8), and son Samuel (4).

Mark Feldbush is Associate Pastor for Community Ministries with the Worthington Seventh Day Adventist Church. He lives and works in Worthington, but his formal schooling began elsewhere. He has a BA/BS in Theology and Broadcasting from Columbia Union College and a Master of Divinity form Andrews University. For nearly 10 years, Mark was involved in student ministry and student government as well as serving as a volunteer pastor prior to moving to his current position.

Flora Whitthorne Flinn is assistant Principal at Thomas Worthington High School. Previously, she was employed with the Akron Public Schools and has been active with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and Junior League of Akron. Her position with Worthington Public Schools began in 2000. Flora's post high school degrees are from the College of Wooster (BAE) and Kent State University (MAE). She and her new husband reside in Worthington.

Melissa Jean Fox is a recent graduate of Ball State University with a MA degree in School Psychology. Her prior degree was from Mt Vernon Nazarene College in Psychology and education. In her first full-time job after university work, she is Claims Representative for the Social Security Administration. She has already proven herself to be highly motivated at work and has received awards for meeting goals.

Michael V. Foley received his BS in Accounting/Finance from The Ohio State University. He is a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch Investments in Dublin. He also has been in sales and marketing with Foley Medical, Inc. He has received his designation as a Certified Financial Manager and is active in the Dublin-Worthington Rotary, Special Olympics and Big Brothers-Big Sisters. He wants to develop more leadership skills to enhance his professional and personal life in this community.

Gregory Jay Giessler graduated from Thomas Worthington High School and The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Forestry from the School of Natural Resources. Utilizing his degree, he worked for 2 years with M.A.G. Tree Service and then began preparing for a career in real estate. Greg has been actively involved in a project in Honduras, working with children who are HIV positive. He has spent time there, teaching English as a Second Language.

Amy Haines-Prachar is Loan Officer for Broadview Mortgage Company where she assists acquired customers in determining financial needs and recommending appropriate credit solutions. Amy graduated from Grove City HS. She has demonstrated leadership through awards for outstanding sales performance and has been active in the Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce. She is co-chair of the 2002 golf committee. She also was a team development chair for the 2002 American Cancer Society Relay for Life event in Worthington. Amy resides in Worthington with her husband, four daughters, and two dogs. She enjoys volunteering at her daughters' schools and traveling.

Dave Elliott Humphrey is being sponsored by Fifth Third Bank where he currently is in consumer and business banking, financial advising, loans, etc. Dave graduated from Fredericktown High School and has attended Ohio University. He is completing his degree in Business Administration from Otterbein College. Dave is active in the Centerburg United Methodist Church. He has proven his worth to Fifth Third Bank as evidenced by several sales awards he's won. Dave is seeking a better understanding of the Worthington community.

Lucas W. Hunter is Banking Office Manager with The Huntington National Bank in Worthington. He is a recent graduate of The Ohio State University (Business Management) and his work with Huntington National Bank has been as Personal Banker and Sales Manager. His civic activities include membership in the Masonic Lodge and volunteering with Special Olympics. Lucas currently lives in Pataskala.

Cullen B. McKinley is vice president (credit administration) at First Community Bank - Bethel Rd. He is a resident of Worthington. Cullen received his BA in Economics from Albion College (Michigan!!!!). He spent time in Kalamazoo where he was involved in Junior Achievement, Big Brothers of Jackson Cty, and United Way. He and his wife have decided to get involved in Worthington community affairs.

Robert A. Williams is Financial Center Sales Manager for Sky Bank in Worthington. His banking career began in 1996 with State Savings Bank. Robert is a graduate of Youngstown Chaney High School and earned his BA in English from The Ohio State University. He has volunteered with Junior Achievement and is interested in becoming more active in Worthington community/civic affairs.
